Hi everyone!
It has been a busy week here at TBK. I have been teaching a lot of individual sessions where the topic of freezing nuts and refrigerating dried fruit has come up when discussing additions to pilafs and salads.
How easy to create a healthy meal each night if we don’t let ourselves get overwhelmed by over thinking dinner? Add dried fruit and nuts to any grain, protein or salad and you are good to go!
Here’s the proof with this tasty salad below.

Romaine with Dates, Hazelnuts and Parmesan:
6 cups washed salad greens
1/4 cup hazelnuts, chopped
4 dried dates, chopped
1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
chocolate vinegar or any flavored vinegar you like
olive oil
Method:
Combine greens, dates and hazelnuts
Sprinkle with Parmesan and drizzle the il and vinegar on top
Salt and pepper to taste
