Please Participate In our Kid’s Bake-Off May 5th and Win BIG!

Hi everyone! I just returned from an incredible trip to Amish country and I will be telling you all about it soon.

For now, I want to tell you about a healthier kids cookie bake off that Take Back the Kitchen is organizing to help Toni’s Soup Kitchen AND to inspire Healthier baking with kids.

We wanted to include all the kids who have dietary restrictions and often don’t get to participate in bake sales and the like. With Celiac diagnoses on the rise as well as dairy and gluten sensitivities, this will be a fun way to share ideas on healthier eating and baking for everyone.

There will be live music, a magician AND it will be filmed for channel 34!!The details are below:

When: Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00pm

Time: All entries should be dropped off between 12 and 2pm on the day of event.
Judging will begin promptly at 3pm.

Where: at the Montclair Municipal Building:

There will be 3 Categories: Vegan, Gluten Free, and Whole Wheat Flour
* Each cookie entry needs to be accompanied by the written recipe

It is important to remember at any age that healthy living includes eating lots of whole grains and incorporating whole wheat flour in your baking.

Minimum donation of $10.00 to enter – Kids of all ages

Cash, Checks and Credit Cards will be accepted as payment on the day of bake off at the front door.
All proceeds will go directly to Toni’s Kitchen
