Hi everyone!
As many of you know, I went to Israel over Thanksgiving and I still am in withdrawal from the delicious hummus I ate there every day.
Whether you are a perfectionist cook, a conflicted cook, a distracted cook or a carefree cook, this recipe is for you!
Carefree cooks, I recommend you go easy on the garlic if you are prone to “over ingredient”. Enjoy!
Zahatar Hummus
4 cups cooked chick peas
7 cloves roasted garlic
3/4 cup water
juice of one lemon
1/4 cup tahini
1/2 cup olive or avocado oil
2 1/2 tsp Kosher or sea salt
1 tbsp Zahatar spice
1 tsp ground black pepper
Steps:
Puree all the above in a food processor until smooth.
Adjust spices.
