Yogurt Parfait, the No Brainer Breakfast

Hi everyone! All of a sudden, my daughter wants yogurt Parfaits for breakfast. How coincidental since I just arranged for Fresh Direct to come to our school to provide a healthy nutrition workshop where they featured yogurt parfaits.

A make-it-yourself- yogurt -parfait can help encourage kids to feel like they are a part of the cooking process and they will be more likely to eat it! Try it, they’ll love it!

Yogurt Parfait with Granola and Blueberries

1/2 cup 0% fage brand yogurt on the bottom (preferably that brand but any will do)
2 TBS blueberries or other fruit
1/3 cup granola
honey (optional)
a few chocolate chips (optional)

In a fancy dish:On the bottom, add the yogurt, then the granola, then the fruit then the chips or honey if you’re using. Enjoy!

  1. Great picture! This sounds yummy. I think I'll use whole milk plain yoghurt (I love Stonyfield Farms)….I'm trying to help my hubby regain some of the weight he lost after his knee surgery.

  2. I made a parfait this morning (read your post yesterday night and was inspired). Lucky for us we went blueberry picking yesterday so I had plenty of those to add. I used plain, whole Fage, b/c that's what we still give Evan (he's about to turn two so I think I better start buying reduced fat for him (?)). I added ground flax seeds and water to thin it out a little and it was DELICIOUS!!! I went out and bought reduced fat Fage just for me and I can't wait to have it again tomorrow morning.
