Strawberry and Chocolate Salad to Bring in the Jewish New Year

Hi everyone and happy new year to those who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah.

We decided to have a family dinner with everyone helping and made a point of actually sitting down around the dining room table.

Although we are not the most observant family, we try to keep traditions and make as many family rituals as we can.   My hope is that when the kids are older, these traditional dinners will be important enough to come back home for.

So help me if they all end up at their in-laws for  holidays!

I hope to make this new salad a part of our traditions along with the more traditional apples with honey.

Happy new year!

Strawberry and Chocolate Salad:

Salad:

4 cups washed arugula

5 TBS toasted sliced almonds

3 large strawberries, sliced

Dressing:

2 TBS olive oil

pinch salt

Combine dressing ingredients with a whisk until combined

Pour over salad and enjoy!
